Dr. Hafiz Abdul Sattar Hashmi began his journey in healthcare with a strong foundation in education and traditional medicine. After completing Hifz e Quran in 2001, he pursued a Bachelor of Eastern Medicine and Surgery, followed by an MPhil in Phytomedicine from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. He is currently a PhD Fellow in Eastern Medicine, where his research focuses on the antidiabetic potential of Citrullus colocynthis and the scientific evaluation of traditional medicine.

His professional journey brings together clinical practice, academic teaching and scientific research. For nearly a decade, Dr. Hafiz Abdul Sattar Hashmi served as Managing Director and Head of Research and Development at Ehsan Herbal Pharmacy in Bahawalpur. This experience provided him with extensive insight into healthcare practice while strengthening his commitment to education, research and accessible healthcare.

In 2020, Dr. Hafiz Abdul Sattar Hashmi joined the University College of Conventional Medicine at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur as an Associate Lecturer and later became a Lecturer in 2022. Since then, he has remained actively involved in medical education, academic development and the mentorship of future practitioners.
